Is there any way you could get a supplemental insurance? We are incredibly blessed that our HMO covers the boys' private therapy, but if it didn't, I would be as frustrated as you are if they were getting just the school therapy; it is just not as rigorous. You are such a great advocate for Maddie -- keep pushin', girl!Mariannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00344095732920315761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7534705307447804223.post-10917076583789271672012-02-07T19:31:04.291-08:002012-02-07T19:31:04.291-08:00I just know you're going to find a way around ...I just know you're going to find a way around this. First of all, she has come so far, and the first 3 years are really the most critical in therapy. Still, school therapy is just not adequate except for teaching them how to navigate at school. I really think your insurance company will "come around" with all the appealing and prodding that I'm sure you're doing. If they can see that major improvements can be made that could save them money in the long run ... Anyway, she's going to be awesome in preschool and you're going to love it.Colleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17703631579811118354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7534705307447804223.post-21660264063016719042012-02-06T19:09:16.574-08:002012-02-06T19:09:16.574-08:00Oh Selina, I am crying reading this. It is awesome that you have had such a great experience with your therapists. Maddie is going to continue to excel. With a mommy like you and with her rockstar personality there is no other option. It makes me so incredibly sad that insurance companies can be allowed to make those statements and those decisions. If they could just meet her for one second, I know in my heart that they would change their minds!Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09736312179746535843noreply@blogger.com
